Editorial policy
Stellar Civic Bulletin aims to make civic subjects easier to understand without making uncertain claims sound settled. Accuracy, independence and clear labelling matter more than a punchy conclusion.
Accuracy and context
We check names of concepts, definitions and descriptions against reliable source material before publication. We distinguish general explanation from jurisdiction-specific procedure, identify meaningful uncertainty and avoid presenting an example as a universal rule.
Independence
Editorial decisions belong to the publication. A partner or commercial relationship does not buy favourable coverage, control over conclusions or an undisclosed influence on what readers see.
Corrections
If you spot a factual error or misleading passage, use the Contact page and identify the article and point at issue. We review correction requests and make appropriate changes clear to readers.
Partner material and illustrations
Sponsored or partner material is labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where that applies, the image is identified as such.
Public life deserves plain reading
We start with the words, roles and processes in front of us. Clear explanations should name uncertainty, not paper over it.
