Write for us
Stellar Civic Bulletin welcomes pitches that make a civic concept clearer without flattening its complications. Send proposals through the Contact page, not as an assumption that a finished draft will be accepted.
What we welcome
Pitch explainers about public records, institutions, civic language, participation or shared places. A strong idea has a defined reader question, a clear scope and a useful distinction, comparison or way of reading a subject.
Make the case
Tell us the proposed angle, why it matters to a general reader, what the piece would clarify and what limits it would need to acknowledge. Avoid pitches that depend on unverifiable claims, partisan advocacy or professional instructions.
How to send it
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option to submit a proposal. Include a short outline and any relevant source considerations; do not send confidential information or assume a response time.
Public life deserves plain reading
We start with the words, roles and processes in front of us. Clear explanations should name uncertainty, not paper over it.
